Attendance Office Overview
 
The Hamilton Attendance Office is responsible for clearing absences, early leaves, and tardies as well as processing enrollments throughout the year. To clear your student's absence or tardy, please submit a physical excuse note to one of our Office Technicians (Ms. Maritza Torres and Ms. Chanel Wiggins). Physical notes for early leaves must also be submitted on the morning of the early leave. Please be advised that emails and phone calls will no longer be accepted. Failure to submit a note prior to the early leave may result in the delay of picking up your student. To meet district requirements for attendance proficiency, your student must miss no more than 7 full days of school each academic year. Missing three full days or three class periods with no valid excuse can result in their identification as a truant. If you have concerns regarding long-term absences or special circumstances that have affected your student’s attendance, please contact Ms. Mojica. 
 
Clearing Absences
Please remember that all absences and tardies must be cleared with a physical note within 10 days. Please submit all notes to Room 101. Phone calls and emails will no longer be accepted. Any notes submitted more than 10 days after the absence will not be accepted. 
To meet the district attendance standards, students must miss less than 7 full days of school for the entire academic year. This means they can only miss 1 day of school for every 25 days of instruction. 
 
Need to pick up your teen early?
Save time by sending them with a note in the morning to drop off in the Attendance Office.  The note must include their full name, birthdate and reason for early dismissal. Please also ensure you sign the note and provide a phone number where we can reach you to verify the note.  Students can then pick up the slip to leave early and meet you outside when it’s time for them to leave.

Recuerde que todas las ausencias y retrasos deben justificarse con una nota física en un plazo de 10 días. Envíe todas las notas a la sala 101. Ya no se aceptarán llamadas telefónicas ni correos electrónicos. No se aceptarán las notas enviadas más de 10 días después de la ausencia. 
Para cumplir con las normas de asistencia del distrito, los estudiantes deben faltar menos de 7 días completos a la escuela durante todo el año académico. Esto significa que solo pueden faltar 1 día a la escuela por cada 25 días de instrucción.
¿Necesita recoger a su hijo adolescente temprano?
Ahorre tiempo enviándoles por la mañana una nota para que la entreguen en la Oficina de Asistencia.  La nota debe incluir su nombre completo, fecha de nacimiento y motivo de la salida temprana. Asegúrese también de firmar la nota y proporcionar un número de teléfono en el que podamos localizarle para verificar la nota.  Los alumnos podrán entonces recoger el resguardo para salir antes y reunirse con usted fuera cuando llegue la hora de marcharse.
