Welcome

Hamilton prides itself on representing a true cross section of Los Angeles including serving students from over 100 zip codes in one of its two magnets dedicated to Performing Arts and Humanities, its School for the Advanced Studies program, and its two neighborhood small schools dedicated to Business and the Visual Arts. Over the course of Hami’s 90 year history, we are proud of the famous alums we taught such as Lizzie Caplan, Kamasi Washington, Karen Bass and Warren Moon, and we strive to reach each student’s interest whether music, the arts, business or sports, so they can go on to be the best they can be.

Our Mission

The teachers, administration, staff, and parents of Hamilton High School believe in the dignity and worth of all Hamilton students. We are committed to creating and supporting small learning communities in order to maximize the achievement of our diverse student population.
